AFASI
NATURE RESERVE

AFASI is committed to the conservation of endangered flora and fauna in the tropical lowlands of Bolivia.

In our nature reserve, we actively promote the welfare of wildlife in and around Santa Cruz by trying to provide them with an appropriate habitat.

AGAINST ILLEGAL ANIMAL HUSBANDRY & SMUGGLING.

The wild animals accepted by AFASI usually have a past in captivity behind them and are so accustomed to humans that they have lost the ability to defend themselves and need special protection. AFASI has a 44-hectare protected park where the wild animals find the ideal setting for life in the vast forests and savannahs. There are no small cages here, but fences and enclosures that protect the animals from wild predators and other dangers of nature.

AFASI is an independent foundation, but works hand in hand with institutions and organizations that pursue similar objectives in other Bolivian projects in the field of wildlife and environmental protection.

THE 3 PROJECTS OF THE RESERVE.

The AFASI Nature Reserve is based on 3 projects. Of these, two have already been implemented and one - the AMA - is still in its infancy. What they all have in common is that constant expansion and external support are needed so that the AFASI Foundation can fulfill its purpose of offering endangered wild animals a second chance in a species-appropriate environment.

ANIMAL SANCTUARY

ANIMAL PARK

In our animal sanctuary - the Centro de Custodia - the animals get a second chance for a life in a suitable place with good food and in spacious enclosures.

ANIMAL PARK is the wildlife refuge of the AFASI Foundation.
The 44-hectare area is also open to visitors.

AMA

We believe that a change in thinking towards animal and environmentally friendly behavior can only succeed through appropriate education. With the AMA, we would like to lay the foundation for solid environmental education.

Support AFASI

Only with the necessary financial resources can we adequately design the nature reserve to protect the wildlife and biodiversity of the region.
